Selous Game Reserve

Selous Game Reserve is Africa's largest game reserve and one of favourite game viewing areas in Africa. Covering 50,000 square kilometres, is amongst the largest protected areas in Africa and is relatively undisturbed by human impact

Africa’s largest and oldest game reserve is one of its most scenic wildlife destinations; the Selous is utterly beautiful. The beauty of the park is matched by the quality of a safari here; boating, walking and fly camping compliment standard game driving in thriving wildlife areas. This is an outrageously good safari park and an essential component of any southern circuit itinerary.

The Selous is a superb safari destination for both family safaris and African honeymoons, all the better for the ease of getting there and the lack of crowds. The park has the widest diversity of safari activities in the country, offering the boating safaris as well as standard game drives, walking safaris and legendary fly camping trips.

Ugalla Game Reserve

Ugalla game reserve where the fragrancemillions of Miombotrees and flowersperfume the reserve Established in 1965 and located in three districts of Tabora Region and Mulele in Katavi Region, is dotted by thousands of woodlands and grassland where bees pick nectar for making honey.

Liparamba Game Reserve

Liparamba game reserve, on the southern part of Tanzania with Ruvuma River as its border, was established in 2000 in Mbinga, Songea and Nyasa districts in Ruvuma Region. Diversity in vegetation provides suitable habitat to many wildlife species who drink water from Ruvuma River.

Maswa Game Reserve

Maswa game reserve established in 1962 and located in Meatu, Itilima and Bariadi districts in Simiyu Region, plays a major part to wildebeests seeking pasture and calving when plains of Serengeti National Park are dry. After calving, the wildebeests continue northwards to Maasai-Mara Game in Kenya in their annual migration looking for pasture.

Swagaswaga Game Reserve

Swagaswaga game reserve was establised in 1996 in Chemba and Kondoa districts in Dodoma Region, central part of Tanzania. Most part of this game reserve constitute of thickets and scattered shrubs which are home of various animal species including elephant, duiker, warthog and antelopes.

Korongo and Grumet Game Reserve

Korongo and Grumet game reserves in Bunda and Serengeti districts in Mara Region, were established in 1993. Ikorongo Game Reserve and Grumet Game Reserve are rich in wildlife species as the reserves have several rivers crisscrossing.
